As the largest volunteer network in the city, New York Cares has engaged 11,000 volunteers on more than 148,000 hours of service since March 2020. From distributing millions of meals, providing warm coats to New Yorkers in need, and revitalizing public spaces, New York Cares mobilizes caring New Yorkers in volunteer service.
In partnership with New York Cares, NY Forever highlights volunteer opportunities across boroughs and critical issues facing NYC today.
ROAR is a community of restaurant owners and industry veterans with a mission to support restaurant workers suffering financial hardship, advocate for independent restaurant businesses devastated by COVID-19, and help create a path toward a sustainable future for the NYC restaurant industry. ROAR has provided thousands of cash grants to NYC restaurant workers and their families, who are facing unprecedented loss and uncertainty as a result of COVID-19.
In partnership with ROAR, NY Forever will organize activations that enable New Yorkers to support the NYC restaurant industry and it’s workers.
For almost five decades, Citizens Committee for New York City has upheld their mission to help New Yorkers – especially those in low-income communities – come together and improve the quality of life in their neighborhoods. Today, through grantmaking, amplifying community voices, and thought leadership and discussion, they are focused on investing in communities hardest hit by COVID-19.
